"Gorilla-fly-man"
Thomas is seven years old, he was born with a rare kidney disorder which will ultimately lead to renal failure. He needs to have medication throughout the day and night. He is extremely intelligent and articulate and enjoys stories and swimming in the Jacuzzi and spending time at the hospice with his best friend Charlie.
His superhero is called, ‘Gorilla-fly-man'. "He is half man and half gorilla who has weird arms which help him fly and go back in time." Thomas says he likes the gorilla man because he would like to "swing like him". "I would live with Charlie in a cave in Grimsby but travel back in time in a tardis like in Dr Who to the time when dinosaurs were here - my favourite dinosaur is the pterodactyl. Me and Charlie and the pterodactyl would speak a special language that only we could understand and we would buy meat - chicken, to eat from the supermarket."
