Archie L

Age 11

Children's Hospice South West - Little Bridge House

"Ronaldo"

Archie is 11 years old. He comes from a large family of five children and is the second oldest. His big brother Alfie was referred to Little Bridge House because he suffers from cerebral palsy.

Archie loves most sports and takes a keen interest in football! He also enjoys basketball and hockey and has played in hockey tournaments. Ronaldo is his absolute hero; he is a bit sad he has gone to play for Madrid as it makes it harder to follow his games. When asked to create an artwork his first thought was to do a picture of his dad, who I'm sure will remain his secret hero forever! His dad tells me that Donna (his step mum) has been incredibly supportive in taking him to play in matches - not easy when there are five children to please and one having the extra needs associated with a disability. Archie reworked his picture as in the original picture he felt the feet were not quite right - he is a bit of a perfectionist as well as a sportsman!

Please note this case study (images and copy) must not be used or replicated in any other form without prior consent from Children's Hospices UK.

This artwork is framed in a white wood frame. It measures 570mm wide by 640mm high.
