Molly
Age 5
Keech Hospice Care
"My daddy"
My name is Molly. I am five years old. I was born with a craniofacial condition called crouzon syndrome. I have also been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, chiari malformation, syringomyelia, and occipital neuralgia.
I have lots of problems with my eyes, ears, speech, chronic pain in my head, neck and legs.
The picture I have painted is of my daddy. He is wearing his favourite T shirt, which is his Batman T-shirt that I bought him.
My hero is my daddy. I love my daddy very much. He always takes me to hospital quickly when I am poorly. He plays with me at hospital and when I am tired or really ill, daddy lets me feel his nails. I like shiny things as a comfort and daddy's nails are very shiny.
I have to go into hospital again soon for lots more tests and my daddy is going to put my nametag on my wrist as I don't like it, but I know my daddy won't hurt me.
I love going to my hospice, Keech Hospice Care, as I get to watch Batman films, play, paint and have lots of fun. I love doing music with Anna my music therapist. We make lots of noise with the drums at Keech. Last year, I had major surgery and Anna came to hospital with her guitar and some instruments to make me smile.
